Biatec is an independent Slovak watch brand that combines Swiss-made quality with Slovak heritage, culture, and national identity. Founded in 2016, the company takes its name from the ancient Celtic ruler Biatec, whose name appears on some of the oldest known coins minted in the territory of present-day Slovakia. The brand is dedicated to creating high-quality Swiss-made timepieces while promoting Slovak history and craftsmanship on the international stage. Biatec watches are known for their elegant design, reliable Swiss movements, and collections inspired by important figures, symbols, and events from Slovak history. Through models such as the Majestic, Corsair, Heritage, and Marine collections, Biatec has established itself as one of Central Europe's most respected independent watch brands.
Founder – Peter Kožár
Peter Kožár founded Biatec with the vision of creating a Slovak watch brand capable of competing internationally while proudly representing Slovak culture and heritage. A passionate entrepreneur and watch enthusiast, Kožár sought to combine Swiss watchmaking excellence with distinctive Slovak storytelling and design. His goal was to develop a brand that would showcase Slovakia’s historical legacy through high-quality mechanical and quartz timepieces. Through dedication to craftsmanship, innovation, and national pride, he successfully transformed Biatec into an internationally recognized independent watch company.
