A TIMELESS LEGACY

Alpine Time on maintaining authenticity bringing global innovations to Nepali wrists.

Nisha Kumari Rauniyar | Managing Director | Alpine Timepieces

Casio has long been a trusted name in Nepal, with models like the iconic F-91 and GA 2100 are becoming part of everyday life for many. To understand how the brand continues to grow and maintain its legacy, we spoke with the representatives of Alpine Timepieces, the authorised showroom of Casio watches in Nepal. Alpine now are launching there website, and have tied up with e-commerce like Daraz and Jeevee for online availability.

Casio is a legacy brand. How is that reputation maintained in Nepal?

Awareness was low in the beginning, but social media platforms and Daraz helped in creating awareness for Alpine as Casio’s authorized showroom. Today, customers know where to find genuine Casio watches, and our strategy is to keep expanding both offline and online simultaneously.

How important is Nepal for Casio, and what new products are on the way?

Nepal is small population-wise but has strong brand awareness — almost everyone has worn an F-91 and A158WA. Customers eagerly follow global launches, and soon Nepal will see launch of models like the Casio's 50th Anniversary Edition CRW-001-PDR Ring Watch, the 1200WH series, and new automatic watches.

Counterfeits are common in Nepal. How do you ensure authenticity?

Every product from Alpine comes with a VAT bill, warranty card, and one-year company warranty. We also provide after-sales service through our authorized service center. This transparency builds trust with our customers.

What are the main challenges and opportunities in Nepal’s retail market?

Availability of full range from Casio is difficult  Casio has 4000 SKUs worldwide, but only about 500 SKU'S are launched in Nepal. Counterfeits and color-fading issues also arise depending on the scenario. On the positive side, demand is strong, and Mrs. Rauniyar says "we plan to expand our Alpine Retail outlets nationwide with improved online delivery."

How is customer service handled?

We have a local service center authorized by Casio. Mostly issues are minor, like battery or strap replacements, since Casio’s build quality is excellent. Warranty complaints are very rare.

What message would you like to share with customers?

Always choose authorized outlets. Alpine is the authorised showroom in Nepal, and we are committed to offering 100% genuine products, official warranties, and reliable service.

As Alpine Time emphasizes, authenticity and trust remain at the heart of Casio’s journey in Nepal. With expanding outlets, stronger online presence, and exciting global innovations arriving soon, Casio continues to cement its place as a timeless brand for Nepali consumers.
